Striders had a busy race weekend
The Buckeye Striders had a busy race weekend between Run Like a Girl on Saturday 9/28 and Big Bad Wolfe on Sunday 9/29. Some Striders did BOTH races. As always, many of our Striders garnered age group wins in their races.
Eight Buckeye Striders walked in the Cat Caper 5K on Sunday morning to support cat welfare. The event was held at the beautiful Scioto Audubon park. The majority of our Striders placed 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th in their respective age groups.
The Buckeye Striders participated in several races during the past weekend. Sharon A did the Buttefly Run 5K on Saturday and is pictured below. Zita plus Steve & Sharon H walked in the New Albany Walking Classic on Sunday. Zita scored 1st her in age group. Great job, Zita!
Cheryl, Laura, and Sharon represented the Buckeye Striders in the Amish Country 10K in Berlin on Saturday, September 7.
Cindi & Jodi walked in the 5K at the Team Gluten Free even held at Mill Valley Park in Marysville. It was nice, small race with yummy gluten free cupcakes and other gluten free goodies afterward. Cindi won several raffle prizes. There was 2 mile walk option but we walked the 5K "run" instead. Cindi would have one the 2 mile walk with her pace. We'll have to think about what we do next year! Thanks for a great race, Speedy Sneakers!
We love to walk!!
